TransPar is the largest consulting and management company in North America dedicated to pupil transportation. Our team has performed more than 450 consulting and management projects of various sizes and types for districts, schools, and state agencies in 41 states, from Rhode Island to Hawai’i, and in 4 provinces, for over 26 years. Our mission aligns directly with so many of our clients and the challenges that they face, in that we exist to ensure equitable access to education through Responsible Student Transportation.

As the largest company dedicated to providing consulting and management services for student transportation, TransPar not only has the expertise to advise districts in how best to structure and execute transportation operations, but directly leads and manages school transportation operations by acting as the director and operations staff within transportation departments across the nation. TransPar has provided consulting and advisory services to districts in the following areas, including but not limited to:

Through its transportation management services, TransPar specifically oversees the following aspects of operations, including but not limited to federal, state, and local regulatory compliance, strategic planning, budgeting, routing, recruiting, safety and training, incident management and fleet management. Furthemore, TransPar provides proprietary management tools and tools of its partner companies, including but not limited to:

  • Incident Management System (IMS) - IMS is a web-based incident and complaint tracking system which gives transportation operations the ability to record, track, and tabulate complaints, accidents, an student referrals in a consistent manner, along with the ability to sort and make reports for internal and external use
  • RouteYield – RouteYield is a time and capacity utilization study that analyzes each bus run and route within a system to determine whether it 60% or more utilized in both time and capacity
  • Learning Management System (LMS) – TransPar’s partner company School Bus Safety Company provides the industry’s leading an most complete professional school bus driver curriculum designed by school bus safety experts and professional instructional designers; the course establishes a new standard of excellence to help you safely transport children every day, and it utilizes a blended approach to adult learning that integrates knowledge and skills


TransPar also provides fleet management services which encompass solutions for both yellow and white fleet management, including but not limited to:

  • Assessments and implementation of fleet management information systems (FMIS)
  • Fleet replacement, right-typing and right-sizing analyses
  • Alternative fuel, zero-emission vehicle (ZEV), electric vehicle (EV) feasibility analyses
  • Fleet management staffing
